Update on the house :)

Here are some new pics of the house... It is getting close to being done...just a few more weeks. I think we have used up almost a whole cedar forest! A girlfriend of ours stained the trim and built in seat and it is really beautiful! We love how it is all coming together. I am going to use all of my available talents to make a cusion cover for the seat... we'll see how it goes :) The stain on the concrete is okay for us. We both had a different idea of what it was going to look like, but are happy with the outcome.

So, here is a fun little video of AB... she is so silly :)

We have a dr. appt today to she how everything is going. Baby is moving and seems to be doing well. I am goign to post some pics of the house as well... it is getting better all the time. The brick mason, Jerry, is here which is means we are soooo close to being finished! Dav is working hard on getting all the siding up. I'll take some more pics of the house today and post them later.. now that I found the cord to the computer!

What should we be doing?

Kev and I just finished reading the novel, Safely Home, by Randy Alcorn. It was an awesome book that opened my eyes towards Christian persecution. I like to live in my little bubble where most things are easy and there is not much to ruffle any feathers, but it was disturbing to learn that there are those who are not free to believe.
That never bothered me much, I guess it was easier to think that that was what those people wanted to believe... On church last week we had a guy by the name of Tom White, director of Voice of the Martyrs. The website is http://www.persecution.com/ amazing stories of how even today there are those that aren't allowed to own a bible, they are beaten and jailed for their beliefs.... This is happening TODAY! all over! These people are risking their lives for just one page or part of the bible. You and I have how many in our houses that collect dust?!
As I talked with Kev about the timing of this all, our mission trip to Nicaragua, Syd to Montenegro, our book and the message last week, we weren't sure what God had planned for us. I think it is to get our minds in the right place. I think God wants us to hide the Word in our hearts. As Americans, we really have it too easy. I am working on breathing the Word in so I can be the person God wants me to be...

Funny story... but not so much!

Keven, who is not allergic to anything, got stung by a wasp the other night. I am so bummed that Syd has the camera with her because it was the funniest thing I have ever seen! (I can say that now because he lived!) He had an allergic reaction to the sting, which was in the back of his neck and his face ended up swelling. His lips were a beautiful shade of purple and hives broke out all over his body. I had a wonderful friend meet us at the urgent care to get AB and she couldn't believe how swollen he was. Being he took 100mg Benedryl, we went home and he slept... soundly!
